Overcoming Stress the Easy Way

When Stress occur, it maybe because you and your spouse are arguing back and forth, the baby’s crying, you haven’t had a vacation in eons, your job is overwhelming, not enough money coming in, to much money going out, bills stacking up, gas prices high, and all this leads up to one thing, overload! Sounds familiar to you? There are many things wrong with this picture for a lot of us, too much chaos. When it is crunch time and the pressure is on, we tend to engage in all sorts of unhealthy habits that further increase our anxiety level, most importantly our eating habits. Bad idea. If anxiety is spiraling out of control, food should be an aid or ally, not your enemy.
With that in mind I want to discuss ways to help you relieve the pressure, including foods that help,
and other relief techniques such as meditation, and my favorite, exercising.
First let us look at preventive ways rather than reducing it once tension is mounting. There are food components that act as a stimulant, like caffeine, which is a problematic contributor. Because of this I recommend foods like coffee, tea, or chocolate be eaten in limited amounts. Chocolate can be beneficial in limited amount because it can be a reliever by simulating the production of endorphins in the brain. Your blood sugar level can be disrupted, as well as your immune system. Sugar foods like fruit juice, dried fruit, and all added sugar foods should be avoided as a preventive method. Keeping your blood sugar stabilized is one way to help.
I’m sure you’re probably saying to yourself “it is too late, I’m already pulling my hair out and I need relief fast!” Well there are ways of relieving yourself from a chaotic day. Eating foods that are packed with the B-complex vitamins are essentially important in preventing and relieving stress. Vegetables, especially dark leafy veggies are a good source of B-complex vitamins. Whole grain foods are also good for that same reason.
I have a list of foods that can deal stress.
