Healthy Immune System
Part of being healthy and less being sick is to have a
strong immune system (opens new window),
allowing your body the ability to fight off certain viruses, colds, flu, and even diseases. Viruses that cause colds and the flu are spread from person to person, making them much easier to contract. “By taking a few preventative measures, you can help build immunity to a variety of cold and flu viruses,” says Verena Fleet, PhD, associate professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University.
The young and the old are more susceptible to sickness because in general their system is weaker. Getting the proper nutrition in your kids from the time they’re able to open their mouth, till the time they reach senior years, is important for a healthy and sick free life. I’m sure you are aware of the dependence on flu shots and other vaccines to help keep you free from viruses and other harmful bacteria. Instead of fighting virus with a virus, there’s an easier way of protecting your body and to improve your health at the same time.
Most adults in the US and other prosperous countries generally have the ability to bounce back from a cold or flu, but for the young, old, impoverished nations, and those with a weaker system, the odds are a little bit tougher, but doable. The best, safest, easiest, and least expensive way to strengthen our immune is to provide our body with the right foods that most effectively get the job done. Strengthening our body’s system will make us less dependant on vaccines, and for many people who may not have health insurance or simply don’t have the time to get a vaccine shot, a healthy system makes it all the more important.
Here we’re going to discuss ways of strengthen our body’s immune system and improving our health by:
• Ways to strengthen your system
• This bite size food packs a punch in defense and strength of the immune system
• How to eat when your system is weak
