High Blood Pressure and How to Cure it Naturally

According to the American Heart Association one in three US adults has high blood pressure (opens new window) (I’ll call it HBP for short). I can’t argue with that, because several members in my family have been diagnosed with this condition. HBP is often called the “silent killer” because most people don’t even know they have it and they can die without warning. This is a very serious health concern that you can possibly have. Here are some quick facts about HBP:

· More than 65 million US adults have HBP (the medical term is hypertension)

· Of those with HBP, thirty percent don’t even know they have it.

· 18 million+ Americans have diabetes, which increases their chances of developing HBP.

· Men are twice as likely to suffer from HBP as women.

· 122 million American adults are overweight or obese which increase their chances of developing HBP.

· African Americans are more likely to develop HBP than any other racial or ethnic group and tend to develop it earlier.

· HBP can lead to numerous other life threatening conditions including heart disease (opens new window), stroke, and kidney failure. These are the #1, #3, and #9 cause of death in the US.

· HBP is a factor in a high percent of heart attacks in the US

· HBP affects circulation, creating a higher risk for mental deterioration and Alzheimer’s.

· It is common to find HBP in several members of one family

Of course there are more startling facts about HBP, but I just listed a few. The American Heart Association (opens in window) states, “High blood pressure is the number one modifiable risk factor for stroke.” It also contributes to heart attacks, heart failure, kidney failure and atherosclerosis. In some cases, it can cause blindness.” Yikes! Now you see how serious this is?

Most likely if you are someone with high blood pressure, you are being told to cut back on the salt, stop drinking and smoking, lose weight, or taking high blood pressure medication. All of that is true and beneficial to you, but there is more that you may not know or have not been told. If you are some one who suffers from HBP here is what you need to know about the disease in addition to how to significantly lower it naturally:

· Symptoms of HBP

· Some of the causes of HBP and how to deal with them naturally

· The affects of medication and HBP

· Foods that help lower HBP

· Natural means to reduce HBP
